Meet the Team

Face Make Up was developed by and is managed entirely by two women. Deborah Crapper (pictured) and Anna Barrett.

Deborah Crapper is the founder and managing director of Face Make Up. She is 34 years old and lives in Wiltshire with her husband, Major Tom Crapper, two gorgeous twin boys Austin and Lawrence, horse, Spring, and dog, Bollard.

She started out as a campaign planner in one of London’s top advertising agencies, branched out into qualitative research and started her own unique market research agency, A1F ltd, in May 2000.

Face Make Up is her latest idea that, once again, does not currently exist in the UK.

“I just love the idea of lots of British women wandering around looking and feeling amazing. The world of make up is a lot of fun and it really is amazing what these professional artists can do.”

Deborah wants Face Make Up to provide flexible working opportunities to its employees as well. Her dream is to establish a company that works for its people, not the other way around.

“Modern technology is an incredible enabler when used correctly. My hope is that with a little forward thinking we can all achieve a better balance in our work and homes lives. What a difference that could make!”

Anna Barrett is 28 years old and lives in Dulwich in South East London with her boyfriend Ben. She joined Face Make Up in early 2006 leaving behind a 6 year career in media and marketing behind.

“I think everyone wants to work for themselves at some point and from a chance meeting with Deborah I knew that this idea was a real go-er. From my own personal experience time is such a precious commodity so the convenience of having a specialist come to you is becoming increasingly important. I also think that to be able to ask all the questions that you might feel shy asking in a department store with the comfort of knowing that there will be no hard sell at the end of it is enormously beneficial”

“Before I started with Face Make Up I had an idea of the difference professionally applied make up can make but now my eyes have been well and truly opened! The difference is just night and day and if I had the money I would have my own personal artist at my beck and call all the time. It’s not just for movie stars any more!”
