| Frequently Asked Questions Q: Do all your makeup artists come to my home? A: Yes - we have over 100 artists in our network covering the vast majority of counties (soon to be all) so we can always help wherever you are in the UK. We try to organise appointments local to the artists home so there is no travelling cost passed on to you. Q: What is involved in a makeup lesson? A: Our makeup lessons are 90 minutes sessions during which you can ask all of the questions you always wanted to and can spend as long as you need trying out the techniques under the guidance of a specialist. The artist will spend time with you at the start to make sure that she/he is sure of your requirements and what you would like to achieve. They will then talk you through the colours that would suit you and recommend products to use (objectively as we do not partner with any brand) before the start of the hands on makeup lesson where you will be taught techniques and tricks of the trade. Q: Do you recommend a trial for brides? A: Yes we do. A bride has to be completely happy with the how she looks on the big day and so it’s essential to make sure that everything goes smoothly on the day. Q: Do you recommend a trial for other members of the wedding party? A: It is entirely up to you. It is often a really nice way to get the members of the wedding party together before the big day and enjoy a pampering session but it is not essential and can keep costs down if only the bride has a trial. Q: Do you offer hair styling? A: Many of our artists are qualified and experienced in hair styling as well as makeup so please ask and we can arrange both for you. Q: What products do you use? A: We are completely objective as we do not partner with any one makeup brand. All of the artists in our network are trained professionals who carry with them extensive makeup kits with all the high end and professional brands you would expect to see in there. MAC, Chantecaille, Stila, NARS, Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier to name a few. Q: How to I pay you? A: We will take your debit/credit card details via email or over the phone prior to the first appointment and then take payment close to the time of your appointment. No deposit is usually necessary and you don’t have to pay the artist anything on the day. Q: Can I go to the makeup artist’s house for a trial if I don’t live near the wedding location? A: This is not a problem in the majority of cases. If it ever is we find alternative solutions – it’s not failed us yet. |
